Private Instruction

Most of the students that take lessons at Guitar Chicago are part of their private instruction program. Lessons are available on Mondays through Saturdays and are available all day. Learn in a group environment

In addition to our individual private instruction, Guitar Chicago is now offering a course in music theory and its application to the guitar. Class size will be limited to 10 students, and spots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. To enroll, submit your payment on this page and we will contact you to confirm your placement. If you have any questions, please email us at classes@guitarchicago.com.

Foundations of Guitar Theory This five-week course provides a foundation in music theory and its application to the guitar and other instruments. Melody and harmony are introduced through chord and scale theory. The next class will be announced shortly and will be at our 150 N. Michigan location (28th floor). Guitar Chicago will provide all the necessary materials. (This course will serve as a prerequisite for others to be offered in the future.) This class is offered separately from the private instruction.

Beginning Tablature/Chord Reading The Beginning Tablature/Chord Reading class will be starting in early Summer 2010. The exact start date will be announced shortly. This class will meet at our 150 N. Michigan Avenue location. The class meets once a week and will cover between 3-5 songs. This is a 6-week course.
